Tambun, Perak

We decided to go on a weekend escapade to Tambun, especially for the Lost World of Tambun.
After a 3hour drive, we checked in to Hotel Seri Malaysia which was approximately a 10-minute drive away from the theme park.
At night we wanted to treat ourselves with seafood and decided to explore the Unique Seafood Restaurant which is situated within the vicinity of The Lost World. This restaurant is 'unique' alright as it had everything and anything (not in an appetizing way!). It is a Chinese reastaurant therefore you can't put a number on the variety they have. Their speciality is geoduck. Geoduck happens to be a very huge clam that is found mainly in international waters - off US & Canada. However, it has become a well-loved Asian delicacy. At this place, you can get geoduck from all different countries! Though we could not find the guts to try some, the menu we had was sumptuous enough. The restaurant had a simple setting surrounded by trees that gave it a 'jungle' feel. I admired the good service and that it had a mixed crowd - I'm guessing its halal ;)
After our meal, we stepped in to the Tambun version of Rum Jungle - situated next to the restaurant. It had an awesome setting. It had 2 floors with huge space, high DJ console in the middle (played excellent music), they had built-in pedestals everywhere for wild girls to dance on, they had a few swings, a cage to dance in(yes, a cage!) and above all, well mixed cocktails! BUT the most devastating part was, it was empty! There were around 5 customers including myself and it was already 12:30am. Unfortunate... I just hope the place don't close down - it would be a waste.
We spent the whole of the next day at the theme park. It was superb! They were many rides, some scary as hell but we managed to do all of them. Though it was crowded (it was school holidays - Nov 2009), we stood in line patiently to make sure we got the best of our trip to Tambun.
